What is the perfect height for a wall light?

There is no "perfect" height for a wall lamp. The choice of this is very personal which height you like best. It is usually chosen to mount the sconces at eye level: a height of 160-170cm is used as a benchmark. That way, you avoid glare because you are not looking directly into the light source.

How do I mount a wall lamp?

A wall lamp has a mounting bracket. You unscrew this and attach it to the wall with the (usually) supplied screws and screw plugs. Slide the wall light over the mounting bracket and screw it on. This is usually done with two screws on the raised edges of the mounting bracket.

How does a wall lamp work without a cord and plug?

Wall lamps without cord and plug are operated by means of a wall switch or via an on and off button on the wall lamp itself (if the lamp is equipped with one). An even more efficient option is to add a smart light source to your wall lamp. With smart lighting you can control your lights remotely with your smartphone or tablet. You then connect your lamps to the WiFi at your home and you control your wall lamps from a distance. Super handy! Go to our smart lamps!

What types of wall sconces are there?

• Up and down lights
  An up and down light wall lamp is a real atmospheric addition that provides indirect lighting in your room. These lamps have a directed light beam upwards and downwards. The light beam that shines downwards can also be used as a reading lamp or to put something in the spotlight (for example, a cupboard in the hall).

• Dimmable wall lights
  Wall lights with a dimmer function are a must as far as we are concerned. You decide when to leave the light on bright, or when to dim it. We often use bright lights during the day or when we want to work or read. We dim our lamps when we want cosiness in our interior!

• Wall lights with switch
