    I want to replace a broken glass lampshade, the overall size of above is perfect but can you tell me the diameter of the lamp socket fixing hole at the top of the shade.

    Thank you for your question. This light shade is suitable for lightbulbs with an E27 fitting. Though we cannot provide the exact measurement, if your bulb is an E27 size then this shade will be suitable.

    This is just a shade and we would need to know which fitting this is for before we can advise on maximum wattage for a bulb. With LED bulbs they are colder to the touch and shouldn't melt the shade, traditional bulbs could get very hot and burn the shade if high wattage.

    Further to Emma's answer to me on 16 March. The fitting is E27 to be fitted with a LED 60w equivalent bulb is this shade suitable please.

    This is indeed suitable for an E27 fitting anf if you use an LED bulb that's equivalent to 60W then this will be safe to use, LED bulbs are much cooler and does not become as warm and halogen and traditional bulbs.

    What material is this shade made from, is this opaque acrylic or fabric? Does this omit light out instead of the solid metal shade where light goes straight down. Thanks

    The shade is made of polycarbonate. The white is not completely opaque, allowing some light to shine through.
