How do you choose the right recessed lights?

When picking out recessed spotlights, always look at the recessed depth: this is indicated with the product. The recessed depth of a spotlight is the part that is recessed into the ceiling. The depth and diameter of this differs from the general dimensions because you can't see this part when mounted. Check in advance whether your ceiling is deep enough for the recessed spotlight. Otherwise the spot is not fully recessed into the ceiling and you won't get it mounted properly.
